Crowd

ralph lives in bonn, currently working on his thesis in computer science at Bonn University. photography has been a part in his life since 2006.

he is somewhat of a tech freak so his accumulation of photo-stuff keeps growing and growing, and culminated in December 2008 in the small photostudio started by nils and him. ralph is working with his sony alpha 700 and favoures the konica minolta 28-75/2.8 lens. when taking pictures he tends to pick out small parts or details of a scene and focuses on them. he spends lot of time choosing the right angle and finding the good balance between shadows and lights. in the near future ralph is going to concentrate on portrait and glamour photography.

Mathias Mortag

Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

After finishing his job training as a digital media designer in Munich, Mathias is now studying communication design in cologne and works as a freelancer for a magazine publisher. His main creative field of interest is typography. But with the same enthusiasm he works on his career as a photographer. Since 2001 his interest in digital photography has steadily increased and he loves to shoot with his trusty Nikon D200. His variety of glasses consists primarily of ones with a fixed focal length. His attention was caught by his recent work with chemicals in the darkroom where he likes to experiment with their different influences on the development process. This increasing interest for the old fashioned ways of developing photographs was intensified even more after investing some money in a Nikon F5. For his picture's visual content Mathias likes to search for landscapes, architecture, structures and objects in any way. People in general are less important for his work.

nils

Nils Borchers

clouds over the harbour

nils is a computer geek at heart but also loves good visual interaction and therefore studies communication design in cologne.

trough his love for everything stylish, newish and most cutting edge'ish nils always keeps track of the web as a place for great inventions and ideas.

speaking of photography his most favoured habit is to carry around his sony alpha 200 with ralph's good old minolta flash mounted on top, as often as possible so he never misses one piece of a situation. one can say nils' style is strongly influenced by randomness but his inner eye is always looking for beauty in the details. expect pictures from every possible genre with a slight tilt for on purpose convention breaking.
